The People You'd Be Practicing Alongside

Aveltha Medical Group brings together more than 20 specialists across multiple disciplines — clinicians who chose this practice deliberately, and who shape the standard of care we deliver across Kitchener-Cambridge every day. Meet the team.

Our Team

The physicians at Aveltha didn’t end up here by accident. Each was selected — and each selected us — because the model only works when the people in it actually believe in it.

Our team spans rheumatology, endocrinology, dermatology, gastroenterology, internal medicine, pediatrics, and a growing list of allied specialties. They trained at leading institutions across Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and beyond. Some are mid-career specialists who built reputations elsewhere and chose Aveltha for the practice environment. Others are returning Canadian physicians who came home for the lifestyle and stayed for the colleagues. A few have been here from the beginning, helping shape the group into what it is today.

What unites them is more interesting than where they trained. Every Aveltha physician shares a commitment to clinical excellence, genuine collaboration with peers, respect for patients and staff, and the belief that medicine is better practiced as a team than as a solo act.

Why Our Team Matters

The single best predictor of how much you’ll enjoy a practice is the people you’ll be practicing with. We take that seriously.

Every physician at Aveltha was chosen with the long term in mind — not just whether they could fill a schedule, but whether they would strengthen the group. The result is a team that genuinely consults with one another, supports newer members through the early years, and holds each other to a high standard without ego. Case conferences are well-attended because physicians actually want to be there. Referrals between specialists happen in conversation, not just on paper. When someone needs to take time off for family, a course, or simply to rest, the rest of the team has the back-end covered.

This is the kind of professional environment many physicians describe wanting but few find. We’ve worked hard to build it, and we’re protective of it.

When you join Aveltha, you become part of a group that shares your standards — and one that expects you to help raise them.

What Our Physicians Say About Practicing Here

We asked members of our group what made them stay. A few themes came up repeatedly:

  • 1
    On collaboration
The difference is being able to actually talk to colleagues about a case in real time. It changes the quality of decisions you make.
  • 2
    On administrative support
I underestimated how much energy I was losing to paperwork until I didn’t have to do it anymore.
  • 3
    On lifestyle
I’m an hour from Toronto when I want it, and a five-minute drive from my kids’ school. That math doesn’t work in many places.
  • 3
    On long-term fit
I expected to give this two or three years to see how it went. I’m well past that and not looking elsewhere.
